Friends of Olympic National Park

Our Mission:

To support Olympic National Park in preserving the Park’s natural, cultural and recreational resources for the benefit of present and future generations.

Friends of Olympic National Park promote understanding of the Park’s ecological, educational, economic, and recreational importance and work with Olympic National Park on special projects.  We co-sponsor the winter Perspectives Lecture Series, public Open Houses with Park personnel, nature walks/tours guided by Park rangers and volunteer opportunities to enhance our Park.

Friends of Olympic National Park is a Washington state non-profit corporation since 2002.  Our board of directors is elected by members, and meets on the third Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm in Olympic NP Headquarters Building conference room.

Our membership represents a diverse group of people with the common interest of enjoying and preserving our national parks.  One of our goals is to foster cooperation between the Park and its diverse stakeholders.  By sharing our adventures and experiences, we will all learn more about Olympic National Park and it's many opportunities for exploration.
